26-27 September 2024, Budapest. The 3rd edition of the annual European Cybersecurity Skills Conference uniting the cybersecurity skills community provided an interesting platform to exchange experiences, address challenges, and share best practices. The conference also presented the future direction of the ENISA Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF) and highlighted activities from the European Commission and Member States stemming from the Cybersecurity Skills Academy.
To bridge the software skills gap, The European Software Skills Alliance (ESSA) releases a Software Skills Strategy for Europe — it is a stepping stone to answering the lack of software professionals and the future market’s demand for software skills. Common European-agreed Educational Profiles for software professional roles that can be flexibly applied in context are an essential tool to make the strategy happen.
